Erik H. Holton
Operations Manager
After growing up in Tampa, Erik graduated from the University of Central Florida with a major in Criminal Justice and a minor in Legal Studies. He went through extensive preparation, training, and interviews to become a U.S. Marshal, but an eye restriction prevented him from fulfilling that goal. Never one to be limited by a setback, Erik built a successful corporate career working 18+ years for Barnie’s Coffee & Tea and, later, Starbucks. He loved the experience and was interested in applying those skills to something new after moving to his wife’s hometown of Auburndale.
Erik’s first step into insurance came through underwriting at another insurance agency, which ultimately led him to Mulling Insurance. Since joining the team in October 2008, Erik has served as the Operations Manager, helping to shape and support the agency’s growth. With 18 years in the industry, he’s known for his steady leadership and commitment to excellence. He values the team’s people-first culture, and is especially proud of helping to start Mulling Cares.
When he’s not in the office, Erik enjoys spending quality time with his wife Erika and their two children. He loves traveling, visiting local farmers markets, staying active at the gym, and working in the yard. A dedicated coach and mentor, he’s led competitive soccer teams at Auburndale Scream for 18 years and currently coaches the Auburndale High School soccer team. Erik also serves as a referee and volunteers at his church. With a daughter pursuing her MBA and a son studying Business Management, he considers himself truly blessed.
