Zach Mulling
Commercial Agent
Born and raised in Auburndale, Florida, Zach loves the hometown feel and laid back pace that comes with growing up in a small community where you know a lot of people. He earned his AA through Polk State College before heading to the University of Central Florida, where he studied Business Management. During college, he stayed busy as an active, full-time student where, among other interests, he enjoyed his time as a member of the UCF fishing club. During his breaks from school, Zach completed multiple insurance-related internships, one with Auto-Owners Insurance Company (Lakeland, FL) where he served as an auto insurance underwriter, and another with Mulling Insurance where he was exposed to all lines of insurance coverage.
Zach joined Mulling Insurance in January 2026 where he joins his older sister Madison as part of the 4th generation of Mulling’s to enter the family insurance business. He is looking forward to putting his own mark on the family business and to serving local individuals and businesses, just as his father, grandfather, and great grandfather have done over the past 69 years. He acknowledges that this is a very complex business that requires a great knowledge of insurance coverage and contracts, which is why he is dedicating his first 6 months to completing advanced training in the insurance industry, where he plans to earn two state licenses for property/casualty and life/health, as well as a CIC designation (Certified Insurance Counselor). He’s most excited about developing his networking and sales skills, connecting with people, and building strong, long-term relationships with clients.
What he enjoys most about working at Mulling Insurance is the welcoming environment and the company’s involvement in the local community. Outside of work, you’ll usually find Zach outdoors hunting or fishing with family and friends, at the gym, or out on the golf course. Looking ahead, he’s excited to continue growing his career in insurance, meeting new people, and becoming more involved in the community he calls home.
